    Morbius is a 2022 superhero horror film directed by Daniel Espinosa and starring Jared Leto in the lead role. The movie is based on the Marvel Comics character Morbius the Living Vampire, created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane in 1971. The film tells the story of Michael Morbius, a brilliant biochemist who suffers from a rare blood disease and develops vampiric traits after experimenting with a cure.

The film begins with Michael Morbius, a Nobel Prize-winning biochemist, who is suffering from a rare blood disease. He is determined to find a cure for his condition, which leads him to experiment with a dangerous and untested treatment involving bat DNA and electroshocks. The experiment appears to be successful, but it also causes Morbius to develop vampiric traits, including superhuman strength, agility, and a thirst for blood. As Morbius struggles to control his new powers, he becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue involving a shadowy organization led by his former colleague, Emil Nikos. Nikos, who is played by Tyrese Gibson, is obsessed with using Morbius's research to create an army of super-soldiers, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. 

The portrayal of Michael Morbius by Jared Leto is one of the movie's standout features. Leto is renowned for his deep acting style, and he gives the role a sense of intensity and fragility that is both alluring and unnerving. A talented ensemble cast backs him up, including Matt Smith as Loxias Crown, Morbius's buddy and ally, and Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft, Morbius's love interest.

Also, it may be challenging to care about the outcomes of some of the supporting characters because they feel underdeveloped.

Ultimately, Morbius is a thrilling superhero horror movie that will captivate viewers who enjoy both genres. As the conflicted anti-hero, Jared Leto gives a superb performance, and the film's original fusion of horror and superhero themes makes for a fascinating viewing experience.
